web design case study

About Pratte International

Pratte Ski provides personalized ski camps in some of the top ski destinations worldwide. From beginners to pros, adults and families who share a passion for the sport, Pratte Ski's approach is completely personalized and adapted to individual needs and skill levels.

The Challenge

Pratte Ski wanted a complete redesign of their website. The team at Presitely was responsible for the web design part of the project. The goal of the redesign was to improve the look and feel of the website, and to make it easier for visitors to navigate and personalize their ski camp package. For this project, we teamed up with our friends at Webcoop who managed the development part for this project.

Project Contribution

Website Architecture

Website Architecture

With the help of our partners at Webcoop we reworked the content hierarchy and page structure early on in the process to create a unique, manageable site for personalized ski camps. We redesigned the website architecture and built it around a more intuitive navigation. The design of the pages required a different line of thinking to ensure that no matter where you are on the website, with only a few clicks (taps), you will be able to find your specific ski camp and book it.

Design (UI)

The redesign had to capture the feeling of skiing in the mountains. We tried to create an overall sense of outdoor adventure.

Content Structure (UX)

Content Structure (UX)

Since the goal of the website is to enable the end user to create their own personal ski camp experience, we had to make the whole process simple and intuitive for the target users. Combined with the architecture redesign, we applied different techniques, such as color coding, content structure, navigation sidebars, and more to make sure visitors are always just a step away from creating their personalized ski camp.

Easy Registration Form (UX)

A crucial part of the redesign was to simplify the booking process while still providing enough important information to the ski camp organizers. In collaboration with Webcoop, we broke down the process to its elements and then built it back up to a well organized step-by-step registration form.

Style Guide (UI/UX)

The prime directive of the typography and iconography we used was to make it intuitive for the users to understand and navigate through the website and all available camps.
