The website of Pratte Ski had to be completely redesigned and we were responsible for the web design part of the project. The goal of th redesign was to make it easier for visitors to easily navigate through the different types of ski camps and to be able to easily personalize their package. For this project, we teamed up with the guys at Webcoop who managed the web development of this project.
With the help of our parthners at Webcoop we reworked the content hierachy and page structure early on in the process to create a uniquely manageable site for personaliized ski camps. The goal was to rework the website architecture build around intuitive navigation and limiting clicks. The design of the pages required a different line of thinking to ensure no matter where you are on the site. you're only a few clicks (tabs) from being able to research a specific ski camp and book it.
We aimed to capture the feeling of skiing in the mountains in the design and tried to create an overall sense of outdoor adventure.
When the goal of the website is to enable the end user to create their own personal ski camp experience, we're facing the challange of not making the whole process too complicated and overwhelm the user. We applied different design techniques, such as color coding, clear navigation, etc. to make sure no matter where you are on the site, you're a few clicks (tabs) from creating your own personalized ski camp
A crucial part of the redesign was to make it easy for visitors to book their personalized ski camp in just a few clicks (tabs) while still providing enough important information to the ski camp organizers. In collaborations with Webcoop, we broke down the whole booking process to its elements and build it back up to a well organized step-by-step registration form.
The typography of the website was a very crucial component of the overall redesign. The typography we used was... It played an important role in expressing the overall experience we wanted to convey on the website. The prime directive of the used icons was to make it easy for the users to understand and navigate through the website and all available camps. All camp icons were color coded for better user experience and greater legibility.
